At H-hour, as supporting effort 1, attack in zone to destroy enemy forces vic RCT Obj 2 and seize crossing sites over Stony Creek in order to facilitate the main effort’s attack on MEB Obj 1. As the stationary force, conduct FPOL/BHO with 3/6 at PL Green. Upon FPOL/BHO with 3/6, follow and support 3/6 in order to facilitate the momentum of the main effort’s attack. The overall objective is to destroy the 34th MID in order to deny the 3rd OSC the ability to conduct an organized withdrawal through JTF Obj A.
Enemy:
1/87th (Rein) established in a hasty defense in our zone in order to protect the 86th MIBR which is establishing defensive positions IVO Mt. Jackson (MEB Obj 1). The enemy has a mobile reserve tank company north of stony creek along with 2 122mm self-propelled 2S1 units IVO RCT Obj 2. The 1/87th has been observed by 2d LAR establishing a forward defensive line in platoon sized elements appears to be roughly following Pugh’s Run with reports of tanks in the area.
