Jesus was crucified on the day of preparation for the Passover at the same hour that the lambs were being slaughtered for the Passover meal that evening. Thus Jesus fulfilled the Passover to the day and to hour. The second feast, which is the unleavened bread, pointed to the Messiah’s sinless life because Leaven is a symbol for sin the bible, making him the perfect sacrifice for our sins. In Leviticus, it says, “And on the fithdteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.” Because ecause leaven is a symbol of sin in the Bible, God did not allow it to be in the Jewish home and required that the leaven was pierced so that If the unleavened bread was held up to the light, light would penetrate through it. The third feast, which is the first Fruits, pointed to the Messiah’s resurrection as the first fruits of the righteous. Jesus was resurrected on this day, which is one of the reasons why Paul refers to him as the “first fruits of the dead.” Jesus was able to fulfill this exact feast on the feast because if Jesus fulfilled all of the spring feast, the he is going to fulfil all of the fall feast to the day. The Feast of Pentecost began fifty days after the beginning of the feats of Unleavened Bread and pointed to the great harvest of souls and the gist of the holy spirit
