Fitness Trainers- Fitness trainers have to be educated in a variety of sports/training methods. Gymnastics is arguably one of the most important foundational sport that fitness experts should have knowledge in. By implanting this image that is unattainable for most of the population, it creates a destructive environment, in both the society and minds of individuals. It leads one to compare oneself with others. If they find something they like about themselves, it increases their confidence and self-esteem. However, if they find something to criticize about themselves, it lowers their levels of self-esteem and confidence. We see these beautiful people every day. I tried pursuing gymnastics for a few years. During that time, I had both positive and negative experiences. While one moment I loved it, the other, I absolutely hated it. One of the main things I learned from gymnastics was to surprise myself. I found that my body could do some pretty amazing things when I had the right mindset. Also, I learned to have better control of my body and be more aware of my surroundings. This lead me to improve my other sports. The thing I didn`t like was that gymnastics requires a lot of patience. The master one movement took hours, days, or even years of work. When I didn`t achieve a certain move, I felt like a failure and I wanted to quit. This became a continuous cycle. I didn`t enjoy going to classes anymore. Also, gymnastics is an individual sport. It was a mental battle in that I was comparing myself with others. When I attempted the activities yesterday, it was enjoyable. It was a positive experience in that I attempted everything at my own pace and that there was no one to judge me. The only negative aspect was that I some of the movements were hard to do and it required patience and
