Advantages and Disadvantages There were many advantages as well as disadvantages in the revolutionary war. One advantage was that the war was fought at the colonists home. The military troops, orders, and supplies for fighting, took many months to come. On the other hand, the British seamed unbeatable. With wins from French battles, to a successful war with Spain, the Americans were the heavy underdogs. “Britain's military was the best in the world.” “Their soldiers were well equipped, well disciplined, well paid, and well fed.” (us history.com) It was ordinary and extremely predictable for the british to take the win. That's why in the era of the revolutionary war, there were a bunch of important battles. One important battle was the “powder alarm” battle. This took place back in 1774, September 1st. This setting was in Massachusetts Bay. (Wikipedia) “It preceded the Battles of Lexington and Concord and was one of the first aggressive actions taken by the British soldiers under General Thomas Gage.” According to the
