However, some defects in traditional classroom based learning limit learners’ development. One thing is that in order to take most students into consideration, teachers need to pay more attention on the middle level students in the classes, so the less able students might find that the teaching is beyond their comprehension. At the same time, the more able students might feel that it is a waste of time to deal with too many easy things from their lessons (Green 60). Furthermore, the time schedules and places of this type of learning are inflexible so that students can feel too busy to adapt it (Green 60). One thing that makes learners feel much more comfortable is that students can be more independent by online learning. Contrary to the traditional learners, online learners can study whenever and wherever possible, without being controlled by class schedule and classroom (Boisselle 2). Also, online learners can focus on where they need more understanding, and, study less on what they have already mastered, therefore, the learning efficiency should be improved (Boisselle 2).
