The following table provides an average of the patients’ age, age of diabetes diagnosis, anthropometric values, and blood glucose levels.
Note: Average weight, height, BMI, waist circumference, and blood glucose levels were determined for each patient, using the information from the past three doctor’s appointments. From these, an overall average was done.

At Bajos de Chila clinic, 19 out of the 20 interviewed responded that their blood sugar levels were checked once a month at clinic. The other patient from this clinic responded that the last time her blood sugar levels were checked was more than 2 years ago. While for the rest of the patients, 5 (12.19%) said that their blood sugar levels were checked every 2 months at clinic. All of the patients responded that the blood sugar levels were checked at clinic or sent to a lab from clinic, no one had a glucose meter at home.
