Sound pollution caused by massive ships and boats crossing the oceans are affecting the reproductive cycles of fish across the world. Each day sound pollution grows more and more due to the rising amount of ships and boats travelling via sea, the only way to stop this is to stop the ships, which is unlikely any time soon. Salmon is one of the world’s most popular fish to eat and therefore the need for a viable solution to preserving the species was needed. Salmon farms utilize genetically modified fish to be raised to full grown fish in a confined area. However good this is for the salmon eating population we can still see a slight negative impact on the environment due to some of these genetically modified Salmon escaping captivity and breeding with ordinary Salmon, thus creating a slightly different Salmon breed.
