Tris, Tobias and the others throughout the whole book, the whole idea was to retrieve the memory serum in order to save the population. Caleb decided to risk his life in order to stop Evelyn from using the Memory Serum and wiping everyone’s memory, but Tris took his spot because she know she could never walk her own brother to his death.
