In Chapter Three Irwin identified types of disreputables. Because disreputables have been identified as rabbles it is reasonable to identify types of disreputables as sub-classes. There is the Petty Hustler. This disreputable spends their time stealing or trying to con to pay to live or pay for their pleasure. They are a bother to the average person. Would she have served her time and been able to come out and move on. The outlook on her life now is that in the end she will be serving time anyway. This book has opened up a new perspective for me in regards to the life she lives. I choose not to engage with her because of the pain she causes in our family. That will not change but it certainly helps me understand how she can continue to have arrest after arrest and go in and out of jail and never serve significant time for the crimes she
