What is Fear? Fear today is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. In the book “Slaying The Giants In Your Life” there are a few examples of fear that are portrayed. One example that stood out to me is being ashamed of who you are. Many people nowadays have the fear of being who they are. For many reasons of getting made fun of or bullied. For example, a fear of not being good enough can manifest in the need for recognition, thus igniting pride in our heart. The fear of not being accepted can create a desire to please people. David experienced some difficult situations in his life and lost all hope. Until he remembered what his grandfather told him, “Never lose faith.” He was determined to not let his grandfather down and lose hope. He simply got on his knees and prayed to God for forgiveness and strength. Promising that he will stay on the path of righteousness and keep going in His name. Isaiah 41:10 says, “Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” To finish things up I have one thing to say. You didn’t only make me but everyone. You gave me and everyone a purpose. We may not know what that purpose might be, but hopefully one day we can find it. Your love is the best gift that you have to offer. Your love is loyal and it's more faithful than the rising sun. Even when it feels like my world is shaken. Even when I've had all that I can take I know you will never let me go, and even when the waters won't stop rising.
