Selena Quintanilla-Perez was a well-known Tejano pop singer all around the world; having sold several of her albums in English and Spanish, expanding her legacy throughout the years. Not only was she a star however, but also wanted to become a fashion designer, so she had two boutiques owned in her name as well as a fan clubs. She spent more time with her father and siblings in the family band "Los Dinos", her not being a part of it. Selena was the lead singer in the band, A. B. Quintanilla was bass guitarist, and her sister Suzette Quintanilla would play the drums, along with some other band members that were background vocalists and her father had a part in it by writing the songs for her to sing. In fact, Selena did not even actually know the Spanish language in the beginning; she grew up speaking the English language and her father had taught her Spanish for her to sing her songs and be able to communicate more with the Hispanic and Latino community. Shortly after Selena had joined the band, the band was no longer named "Los Dinos" however, they had changed it to "Selena y Los Dinos". Since they were a family band, it is safe to say that her relationship with the family was a good one. Chris Perez came into Selena's life later when the family band had lost a lead guitarist, making Abraham Jr. have an open call for a new possible member. In 1989, Chris Perez joined "Selena y Los Dinos" by the recommendation of A. B. Quintanilla, his close friend. Chris Perez never really talked to Selena in the beginning, aside from acquaintance like, until a couple months later. When they began
