Howard, Evelyn L. Hu, and Lawrence D. Jackel built the smallest and fastest Josephson junction devices in April 1981. These devices are microscopic electronic circuits that work close to temperatures close to absolute zero. The smaller the junction the faster it goes. The Bell device is 20% larger than any other Josephson junction. This is so small it can switch in one-trillionth of a second.
The constellation I picked is Orion. It’s figure suggests that of a giant. In ancient greek times Orion was the tallest and most handsome man. Orion was killed by scorpions and put in the stars by Diana to be as far away as possible from scorpions. Orion’s belt points at Canis Major in the east and Taurus in the west.
Rigel is Orion’s brightest star. It is a B81 star with a magnitude of 0.11. It marks the left leg of Orion. At 815 lt-yr, it has a 7th magnitude friend 9” away. It is also a binary star.
Orion holds the great nebula. It is 1,344 light years away from earth. Betelgeuse is a star in Orion. It is a red supergiant. A red supergiant is among the brightest stars out there. They have large masses and low
