In the case of surrogacy, it becomes difficult because since it is the woman’s job she is getting a salary. Also, the couple is paying for all the medical bills related to the pregnancy, but has no control over what the surrogate dose throughout the pregnancy such as smoking, alcohol, drugs, or any other potential health factors. Another difficult aspect is that the legality of surrogacy is different throughout the United States, and depending on where you live if the surrogate wishes to keep the child after birth she has the right to (Wpadmin). In the case of donors since they can be anonymous it can be difficult to find out information on family health history and problems if the something happens. As well, on the side of the donor most never know if the donation leads to a pregnancy of not (Contributors, Obos Infertility). But that doesn’t mean donors and surrogates don’t serve a great purpose in the area of reproductive treatment. They can also allow for the single men and women as well as same sex couples who want to have biological children. A final advantage is that embryos that aren’t used can be donated towards research, such as stem cell which can lead to many more scientific developments in the future. On the downside of that many people don’t donate due to being uninformed or they just choose to forget about their left-over embryos after they have had a successful attempt
