With the struggles of everyday life, sometimes people need some type of pick me up or a temporary high. Some people turn to the Lord, others turn to sports, others may just sleep it off, and some just need a little something more. People turn to marijuana, also referred to as weed, looking for a temporary high to get away from life constantly beating an individual down. There are many more deaths caused by alcohol per year than there is for weed. As well I think the good outweighs the bad in this situation and believe that marijuana should be legalized. People are going to smoke it regardless if it is illegal or not. With more states legalizing weed more and more everyday is even more of a reason for it to be legalized nationwide. If one was to look at the states that have already legalized it and see how well they are doing, just imagine what it could do all over the US. I believe if marijuana was legalized nationwide, with the effects that is had already had on some states it will help the nation out so much. We will be able to cut down on the law enforcement’s money that they are using to arrest these people. Not only that marijuana would help spike the nation’s economy and help cut down the crime rate.
