Many years ago, society did not know how dangerous drinking during pregnancy was for children. Individuals in middle childhood are mastering language skills by increasing vocabulary and utilizing grammar concepts. Speech becomes more sophisticated with each passing year during middle childhood. Middle childhood is also a time when emotions are being managed better. Their attachments change from their family members to peers once
