The woman could choose to not be a mother, whether at that period of time in her life or not is something that differs. The pregnancy could have severe medical complications and force the choice of terminating the pregnancy because if it was to full term the child could be dead, be dying, or the mother could lose her life. The possibility of a pregnancy that resulted in rape is another reason why the woman would want to not have the baby. The issue most people have with it is that they view the fetus a living breathing human being that has the right to a life and that since it cannot have a say on whether or not it can be born that the baby should be protected.
