The controversy surrounding gun control in north america can be contributed to the amount of school shootings and tragedies that have happened over the course of the past 10 years. There seems to be a opinion based cycle that americans go through that wherever a tragedy like a school shooting happens the opt for guns to be banned but when there is a means of public endangerment such as riots and robberies a lot of people fight over having guns in their private possession. In my opinion the public owning guns can avoid such catastrophes by simply introducing guns to young children at an early age to give them an understanding the responsibilities and the dangers that come with handling a gun.
