Humans have been inventing, designing creating and improving upon these creations since we realized that we were capable. Humans have also drawn inspiration from the world around them, and in doing so, many inventions we see today are modeled after our own anatomy or environments. Optics such as cameras, binoculars and telescopes are very similar to the structures in our own eyes. If scientists came up with complex functional designs, independent of drawing inspiration from nature, would that follow that they could be considered Intelligent Designers? If one assumes that an Intelligent Designer is responsible for our tangible existence, one must also wonder of the source and intent. Where, when, and how did the Designer acquire the knowledge to create the universe and everything in it? What is the intent and purpose of this creation? Evolution is a force that influences life to increase its adaptability to ensure survival, if there are flows in an organism that natural selection cannot solve quick enough, the organism fails to survive and removes itself as a variable in life’s equation. Does this mean that the Designer was flawed, or the validity of his intelligence comes into question as well? It seems to me that an omnipotent entity, like God, to be considered an Intelligent Designer, also would follow that God has perfect knowledge and does not make mistakes. Because we live in a world in which we can make use of science to explain many things, we know that there are very narrow margins that make up the conditions in which we thrive. The pH of our blood is 7.4, which is roughly equivalent to the pH of ocean water. A variation of less than one degree in either direction could have a catastrophic, and likely fatal effect on both humans and marine life. The argument that God, or an Intelligent Designer is a benevolent being that is responsible for
