Aristotle was regularly included by the Founders in their lists of reliable and authoritative political philosophers. When asked once what the philosophy was underlying the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson replied that: “All its authority rests … on the harmonizing sentiments of the day…” (Pakaluk) This proves that not only was his writing of constitutions of the Greek roman era in the emergence of a constitutional; he too influenced the Declaration of Independence of America.
