Walker depicted racial stereotype with amplified representations of sambos, pick ninnies and mammies assisted with southern bells and gentlemen partaking in acts of violence, bullying and sex. One of her paintings known as Consume created in 1998 with the use of silhouettes attracted viewers with a courteous, delicate and feminine veneer. Walker resembled the method of silhouettes to the nature of stereotypes themselves, in which the complications of a person or situation are lessened and simplified into easily identifiable forms Chou, Walker, Kara). Art cannot be defined incorrectly because it is infinitely indescribable and it is formed from a person’s thought on what creativity is. An artist’s work is composed by the elements of art that is line, shape, color, and value, which is used by the viewer to summarize the work and form their thought. Form and content are other aspects that create art and make it very understandable. Form can be best described as what a work is composed of and content is the message that the artist convey through their work and how the viewer respond to it.
