These individual who were victims of the Hurricane Katrina were of different ethnicity facing different crisis situation (Greene, 2007). Coping with loss has various factors that a counselor should be aware of especially with dealing with the other cultures of people. As a counselor the best intervention practice is through attachment therapy. Within these systematic approaches in a crisis, CMT provides therapy to the individual an understanding of why their grieving the loss and work on separation through methods such as the breaking bond strategy and through the healthy way detach from the one they loss (James&Gilliard,2013).
