As an international sophomore student majoring in Business Administration, I struggle with the balance between studying and working for a long time. The biggest challenge I have is time management. Since we are from different country, social networking is pretty crucial to us because we don’t know anybody when we came to the states. I spent most of the time in making friends, attending different clubs, organizations and events on campus. Furthermore, as I mentioned in previous essay, I am currently learning Japanese. Kit gave me a list of websites to look for an internship and asked me never give up. Furthermore, I actually join in a Facebook Group because of my social media class. Students and professors post large amount of job information and useful link on it. Furthermore, students talked about their job-seeking experience on it. The social media class basically teach students how to manage their LinkIned and Facebook account to a better way. Having a professional and decent Facebook and LinkIned profile help us look for a job. When I was a senior in the high school, I had to apply for university and meanwhile I had to work in Uniqlo in my country. I felt stressed out and had no idea how to manage time. I remembered at that time my mom encouraged me to calm down and to make a list to finish my jobs. My three steps to overcome my challenges are the following: First, I should make a list everyday to keep the balance of study, life and job-seeking. I should make sure that I have enough time everyday to know about job boards.
