The United States dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima after constantly warning Japan to surrender. In self defense due to the long exhausting war the US decided to use the atomic bomb due to Japan refusing to cooperate and surrender. The US military dropped the first bomb. The first bombing showed power and made it known to the world what would happen if the United States were to be attacked. The United States dropped two bombs, one on Hiroshima and another on Nagasaki. The second bomb was sent because Japan was not willing to surrender.
