Cortes and the Conquest of Mexico

This book is about the Aztecs and how they came to be. It's amazing how far we’ve come and how we evolved to the people we are today with government and knowledge. It was a lot different back then, especially with the Aztecs. They believed in a lot of different things like: religion, government, parenting styles, etc. It was a very hard, and rough time to be alive in for everybody. People from other countries would travel to the New World to find land, riches, and power which would lead to people invading Mexico where the Aztecs were. They were very strict with everything really, like a girl would have to stare at the ground and have their parent walk with them outside to make sure they don't look at boys. Even though the parenting was strict, it paid off for the kids eventually. Most men grew up to be warriors and the women grew up to take care of the kids and house. They also believed in many gods which would do certain things. For example, they would have to find a way to please the sun god so it would come back another day and give sunlight. There was a ton of blood sacrifices too please gods too. They thought that since we need blood to live, the goods need it too, so they would kill people and take their hearts out to please the gods. I learned a lot of things about them and the history of them. They are very interesting people to learn about and I would suggest people to read it and see how much different and lucky we are today. We as Americans believe pretty much completely different completely things, like religion for one. Aztecs had it a lot rougher than
