This shows that families care more about the people around them and want to help them. The victorians also had a tradition that on the 1st of December the whole family baked there goodies and decorated the house for the holiday season. They also wrote christmas cards and other fun activities.
Some people had a huge influence on christmas, especially Charles Dickens. The video states “Charles Dickens had a huge influence on christmas in Victorian era with stories and wimsey. His most famous was A Christmas Carol.” (Christmas Stories). A Christmas Carol was a story about a miser named Scrooge who didn’t like christmas, he was then visited by his old partner and three ghost of past, present, and future. Then soon in the end he loves christmas and everyone is fine and
