The story is all about the journey of Bato Lakungan, the main character of the play. As I watch the play, I easily understand what was the story all about because the characters portrayed the play well. They really have the facial expressions when they act and also the characters did very well during the play. I like the singing part of the play because it is very entertaining and fun to watch. The performers have wonderful voices that really amazed me. The way they act and dance is also very fascinating. But as the story was about to end, there are lots of questions in my mind like “How it happened?” and “Why it happened?”. I was so confused because I thought it would be a happy ending, rather it left as a mystery until now. All in all, I enjoyed the play and it was very great.
I learned a lot about the legend of Ranaw. At first I do not know what it is all about, but as the play goes deeper, It gave me more understanding about the culture and traditions of Muslim Filipinos and most especially the Historical background of Iliganons. I, myself also do not know that there is a myth like this and it really changed my mindset about the history of Iliganons.
What I liked most about the play is that it has a big help to the students. It gives them knowledge about the historical background of Muslims and especially the Iliganons. And also to make them realize how it is important to know
