Currently, because prostitution is illegal, all operations involving this practice are illegal, meaning there is no government mandating, which is unsafe. If laws were changed and the purchasing of sex acts was legal, the government could make rules and regulations. One such rule would be mandatory testing every three months, because right now, there are prostitutes working right now, who probably don’t get tested that much. There are over twenty different kinds of stds, These prostitutes have to work all kinds of people just to earn enough to survive, so I’m quite sure that they don’t discriminate against who they will sell their acts too. Even the dirtiest, most diseased people would get serviced. But these rules wouldn’t just protect the buyers of this, but also the workers themselves. If a customer wants to purchase these services, another rule could be in place where the customers must also have mandatory testing, to protect both the worker and other customers that the worker services. People also say that it is still illegal and defined as rape because they are being forced into having sex, but really, pimps are just the middlemen, if government controlled, pimps would be futile. If government controlled, these pimps could possibly become illegal, meaning they would have minor to no authority over any working prostitute, therefore eliminating the opportunity to force or coerce women or men
