While the Constitution was well written, it lacked the protection of human rights. Even though they did not want too give too much power to the people, it was important to protect their rights should the government try and take them away. This Bill of Rights would ease opposition to the new Constitution, as people would feel assured that they were not being taken advantage of and still had their natural rights. This made it much easier to ratify the constitution, as well take further steps to try and prevent a corrupt government from forming. The founding fathers did not create a transient democracy. If they had created a transient democracy, the constitution would be similar to the Articles of Confederation, and people would vote on everything. They country would have collapsed relatively soon hence the word transient. An enduring republic was actually formed. People could elect people to run the government for them.
