A lot of athletes are cautious of what they may be getting themselves into. For example, Nike lost a contract deal with Stephen Curry, from the Golden State Warriors, because Nike refused to put his favorite Bible scripture on his signature shoes. This just goes to show that not all black athletes are going to let endorsements get in the way of anything. Additionally, exploitation does not always have to be seen in a negative way. Exploitation can be a good thing especially to black athletes because back then white people hated to see black people succeed they always say it is because we were born with these athletic abilities, “So when blacks are referred to as physically superior or natural athletes, hackles are raised” (Entine 116). It is just mind boggling that people get so angry over something so little as this, whites were probably mad because they had to do so much training then her comes blacks that are just so good at it. At the same time it is not necessarily a “natural” thing, if you really love something you will give it your all in order to make it happen. Under those circumstances, exploitation is good exposure for black athletes to get there voice out there and to show that they are equally as worthy to be positively talked about like the white athletes are talked
