At the beginning, the Englishmen and the Native Americans were living in harmony in Plymouth. Later, more white people came and they wanted more lands. Then wars started between the Native Americans and the white people and lasted for more than two centuries. The white people destroyed the Native Americans lands and burned thousands of villages in order to move the Native Americans away from their homes. Also, they cut off tropical forests to expand their fields and grew cotton plantations and forced African Americans to work there. There were many great warriors who were young, one of them is Dull Knife who was an incredible leader of the tribe of the north. The other tribe is called Navaho’s who lived in what is called today New Mexico. The Navaho’s enemies were the Pueblos, white settlers, or members within their tribe. The Americans built their first fort in the Navaho territory and was called fort Defiance. There was a treaty between the Navahos and the Americans, but it did not last for long. The Mexicans were stealing little children from Navahos then the Navahos would raid the Mexicans.
