What ethical issues do you see in your organization as it deals with human resources?
I am not employed. Therefore I am using an personal experiences at a job that I had several years ago. Ethicist Kirk Hanson, (2011) stated in an interview that ethical dilemmas are unavoidable, and we must be aware of our one’s value and beliefs. Not knowing when something is wrong, or one is unclear about a situation, asking questions is the best route to go, ask as many questions as necessary to understand.

Also, there was a lack of transparency when it came to sharing valuable business information which could affect employees ' benefits or hours; management kept it between the account, marketing director, and CEO as the office manager I was not privy to the specifics.
There were gaps of communication and trust between the factory employees and the office management. What I mean is that the plant employees attitude was let me do my job, get paid and go home. There was no motivation to go beyond what was expected of them. Moreover, the company had an unstable ethical environment, as employees, we did not know what to expect from management, well only those employees that the president and CEO liked the most knew the specifics on what the president wanted for the company.

They conducted these meeting in the conference room which anyone could listen in on them. Also, I noticed certain problems because the employees would come up to me to ask about their benefits, wage increases or spoke about the unfair treatment from management; it did not feel right. The President was close friends with the account, therefore, at the end of each month, the accountant creatively modified the financial reports to satisfy the profit goals asked by the owners of the company. When I questioned such practice, I was told by the President that I did not have the educational and work experience to comprehend to fully financial transactions and methods used.
Most small businesses do not have human resource department, an most of the office manager or an administrative assistant handles this aspect of the firm. The office manager may or may not have a framework for the conduct of ethics in the workplace. They follow their values and try using best judgment in training or hiring employees. However, the president of firm did all the above.
