These type cells are perfect examples of being antisymmetric because of their structure and their contents shape. Healthy cells have DNA in their genes and chromosomes that are functionally normally. Cancer cells on the other hand have an abnormal number of chromosomes. Both of the cells are the same concept inside containing chromatin, nucleus, nucleolus, and cytoplasm. The outside of the two cells is clear that they are very antisymmetrical because the healthy cell is more like a smooth spherical shape while the cancer cell is a very uneven spherical shape. The healthy cell shows bilateral symmetry because it can be split directly down the middle and be the same on both sides. Although, looking at the two cells together you see that in the healthy cell everything is where it is to be, while the cancer cell looks as if everything is swelled up inside. This is due to the fact that the cancer cells grow at a very rapid pace compared to healthy cells. The big problem with cancer cells growing a very fast pace is that they continue to grow and do not die meaning that they grow abnormally large groups of cells resulting in tumors. One main difference of the makeup of the two is that the healthy cells have one nuclei while the cancer cells have several nuclei inside. There are many different aspects of cancer than can change the prognosis, the cancer spreading plays a huge factor in the final …show more content…
In men, the most common type of cancer is prostate cancer. In women, the most common type of cancer is breast cancer. Although men are proven more likely to develop cancers over women, they are looking at over all statistics not at any specific cancer. By this conclusion is not directly saying that every type of cancer holds true to this statement. But, if one is looking at a certain type of cancer for example breast cancer. When breast cancer is talked about it something that people think are just for women, but that is untrue. Something very interesting is that men can develop breast cancer just as easily as women, but it is just more common in women. Statistics are shown the most common type of cancer in the United States for both men and women is lung cancer. This is showing repeating symmetry because lung cancer has been the most common type of cancer since 2012 in both of the
