Every person is unique because of their personality they must find an environment that will help them grow and reach their goal of self-actualization. Each individual is made to be good, when a person redirects itself into a darker path is because they developed a poor self-image of themselves and/ or they are in a bad environment. This means a person is not congruent to their ideal-self and need to work to get closer to their ideal self in order to achieve self-actualization. Carl states that the most major event that will prevent you to reach self-actualization is childhood. Not everyone is capable of achieving self-actualization mainly because f an unhealthy childhood.
