His leadership epitomized the hard work and dedication that resulted in Prior Service Six closing out their annual low density Active Reserve mission first in the region. During a time of high turnover, GySgt Ortiz also demonstrated his mature leadership among his peers, leading and mentoring the two new SNCOICs within PSRS 6. This outstanding leader handles the rigors of substation SNCOIC with poise, confidence, and determination and is a true asset to the Marine Corps.
