Epidemiology is a study of determinant of health relater state or events in a specific population and the application to control the problems. The lupus disease has been analyzed for some period of time. One of the epidemiology is age. The peak age among women seems to be during childbearing years, between 15 and 40 years. A community survey in Birmingham (United Kingdom) there are reports on SLE in women ages 18 to 65 years, 54 per 100,000 people were diagnosed and increased to 200 per 100,000 people diagnosed with SLE. (Johnson, Gordon, Hobbs, & Bacon, 1996). The strongest risk factor are obviously the gender. SLE is more frequent among women than men.
Other than that, SLE has been found worldwide and most commonly found in some country which were describe in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. (Guillermo J. Pons-Estel, 2008) .The population of diagnosed people with SLE in Africa and Asia background are approximately 2 to 3 times higher compared to the white population.
