As a Hispanic Latino American, I feel very proud that in the United States exists a month to celebrate our Hispanic Heritage. Moreover, to recognize people who has had contributed with important things in this country. In the follow up paper, there is a summary of Celia Cruz’s life and a description about her and what represent for people who knows about her. When I was a child, I remember that people talked about Celia Cruz and at that time I had no idea who was that person, until I grew up and I started listening music and the Salsa rhymo (what is salsa?) was part of my listening; however, I found that Celia Cruz was a Cuban singer that migrated to the United Sates in the 60s and until her dead she never went back to Cuba no because she did not wanted it just because the political situation between countries. Celia Cruz formed part of Sonora Matancera (who is Sonora) where she continued her career as singer but this time in Miami Florida.

And as per other singers, Celia Cruz is and will be inspiration for them because she represented the Spanish culture in the musical world. Cruz also had participation in some movies in which ones she was reflecting her charismatic personality “Los Reyes del Mambo”, y “Cuando salí de Cuba” (find these quotes). As we can see, Celia Cruz also did movies and people knew that part of her as well; for that reason she is remembered every year in the Hispanic Heritage
