As the vice-president of Cessna’s single-engine business, I am contemplating the introduction of production teams. “Companies are making greater use of teams because teams have been shown to improve customer satisfaction, product and service quality, speed and efficiency in product development, employee job satisfaction, and decision making.” (Williams, 2017, page 199). An advantage to having teams vs. an individual is that teams can bounce ideas and solutions off each other and therefore more likely to see all aspects of the issues. Diverse teams will provide a wide array of talents and skill levels. Team members can learn from each other, therefore, acquiring new skills and broadening their abilities. Teams also motivate and encourage each other.
