Darwinism …show more content…
This theory was first founded by Charles Darwin and is now the principal theory in the evolutionary process. Different traits are found within a population and these differences determine whether an animal will die or survive. If this trait is beneficial to the organism it will be passed down to its offspring. Which gives the next generation a stronger chance to survive, only the beneficial traits survive. If an animal population was to get lost and goes to a colder place they would start to create traits that helps them thrive in the colder area.
An example of biological evolution would be the theory that humans derived from apes. Evolutionary rates are believed to on the rise because of science experiments showing that the differences between humans and apes are far more advanced. If humans always evolved at the rate it is today, humans would be 160 times further from apes than we are now. So this has
brought up theories that the evolutionary process is going a lot faster than it used to. The human head is one of the body parts that changed the most, around 2.5 million years ago our brain was fairly small and we had a large face. Now we have a really large brain and an extremely small face compared to the first “human” skull
