The Vikings were Scandinavian pirates and warriors, notorious for being barbaric and unchristian. They lived during the so-called Viking Age in 700-1100. During this time they infamously raided, conquered and looted many European countries, including; England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Russia, Scotland and Spain. It’s suspected that they ventured out of their own countries in search of riches and because of the Norse religion (which highly regards battle and stated that one that dies fighting goes to Valhalla), but nobody has a definite reason for why they did this.
