The purpose of this study was to research where vaccinations were given to children 6 moths to 17 years old. There are plenty of studies done on people ages 18 and older but very few on children younger than 18 so it is also to increase the literature on this topic.

In the article, there are 22 total other references throughout. A lot of these references were data and statistics to inform you as a reader on the topic. The view of the author is to give everyone more information surrounding children’s vaccination locations. It doesn’t support a specific viewpoint but more supports there hope to inform people see where the kids go.
3. Describe the problem identified by the author.
The main problem is the lack of research on where influenza vaccinations are given to people younger than 18 years old. They want to find out the percentages from all possible locations to help see if there are trends surrounding age, gender, economic status, metropolitan statistical area, and race.

First, the older a child was the more chance they had of getting a shot at a non-medical facility. The trend continues into adulthood with 20% of adults getting vaccinated at pharmacies and only 3% of kids there. Second, kids who were Hispanic or black and below the poverty line showed a much higher chance of getting the vaccine at a health center rather than a doctor’s office. This could be explained for lack of insurance, not being able to get work off to bring a child in, and lack of transportation to get there. The final conclusion is now they can take this data for location specific target programs to help with
