He is skilled in triggering emotions in his audiences that keep them enthralled in what he puts on the screen. When someone has seen some of his movies they know he has a certain style. Any editor can make camera angles look seamless and they are hardly noticeable especially to a casual viewer. Wide shots are especially important in creating fear within the person. In Jurassic Park, the t-rex is attacking the two kids, Spielberg zooms out into a wide angle. Now there is a comparison between the jeep and the t-rex. The jeep, which weighs about four thousand pounds, is the roughly the size of t-rex's foot. So the kids are approximately the size of the dinosaur's toenail. The audience is in awe of the size of the dinosaur and they feel the terror of the children. One wouldn't want to be in their position for all the money in the world. Often time’s stressful situations are hard to experience and often induce fear. For instance, in War Horse, Albie and Joey are standing in field and Joey just can’t seem to get the hang of plowing. Albie tries many different ways to show Joey how to plow. Albie is stressed because everything relies on Joey being able to plow the field. They have made no progress when it start to rain. Then the camera pulls back into a wide shot to show just how massive the field is. This is an emotion scene but the most important emotion is the dread.
