The juice is a spell that causes the character to fall in love with the first living organism they see. As a result, puck applies the juice to the eyes of the fairy queen Titania, from the magic world, and an Athenian man named Lysander, from the “real” world. Puck was suppose to put the juice on Demetrius, but he applied it to the wrong Athenian man. After they all woke up, the queen fell in love with a monster, and Lysander fell in love with another women, Helena, when he originally love Hermia. As a matter of fact, the characters thought they had experienced a dream and none of it was real. More importantly, the real world characters cannot decipher what is real in the “real” world. So much goes on around them they do not notice. Throughout the play, the characters in the magical world messed with and was in the presence of the “real” world characters with their knowledge. As stated before, the magical world is the grandfather of the “real” world. At the end of the play, the fairies break into the house of the duke and his new wife and dance around the house blessing the house and their future. The magical world is always looking out for the characters in the “real” world.
All in all, the magical world and “real” world are very different. The magical world has control over itself and the “real” world. On the other hand, the “real world is clueless of what goes on around them. They both may experience chaos especially through who loves who, but the magical world always balances it back to normal. More importantly, the magical world may be wiser than the “real” world, but the magical world always care for the people in the “real” world.
