The Islamic people achieved a lot but I think the best a most useful tradition that was practiced was medicinal usage. I think medicine is important because it meant being able to beat simple health issues such as the common cold or a bad migraine. Health was always a problem for earlier civilizations and the way they would treat patients would be with ridiculously treatments that caused more harm than good. They would blame health difficulties on the gods, the alignment of the planets, or that a person was being attacked by demons. Doctors during this time would tell people who have an infected would on leg or arm that the only treatment is to lose that are or leg instead of treating it with natural remedies. I think the most effective way of transmission would have been the crusades during the middle ages. With different people making contact all over I would figure that during this time transmission would happen a lot quicker here. The crusades were an unintentionally great way for new traditions and ways of living to be spread. Technology has a major effect in transmitting traditions then and now with technology ideas, ways of living, advancements, and so on can all be shared at a much faster rate than ever before. Take technology today for example, if a disaster happens in China, even though I am in Oklahoma, I can receive not minutes after it
