The difference is that the Renaissance was a period of rebirth and the Baroque Art means rough or imperfect pearl. In other words “bizarre.” Politically, in the Renaissance, it helped advance the technology, improve art, and improve philosophy. For the Baroque Art, artists would create dramatic art to draw the viewer into an art piece. This time took place in the 17th and 18th centuries while the Renaissance took place from the 15th to the 17th century. There are differences in art such as the content and details in each painting. For the Renaissance for example, it shows identity and independence between individual details and for the Baroque Art, they show unified composition of details. Those are some of those differences. The similarity between them is that both time periods allowed art and religion to intertwine. As well as create and new birth of new inventions in both philosophy and art. Another huge difference is that the Renaissance focuses more on the geometric shape and the vibrant colors, but in Baroque Art, it would still be realistic but also gives emotions to people who are seeing the art.
