Totalitarian states and Liberal Democratic states has played a role in the political world hence There’s been a debate between the Totalitarian state and the Liberal Democratic state a debate between the two regimes about which does what and how do they differ. The totalitarian has the leadership or that state has the power to corrupt and manipulate those around them because not everyone is able to see what’s going on when not in public. It is also known as the western democracy. It is the type of indirect democracy operated in the United Kingdom. Liberal Democracy has a variety of features; firstly, it encourages political, social and economic competition between the political parties and pressure groups. The government gets its legitimacy from the people through elections in which most adults can vote with good choice of candidates and a secret ballot that the government should be accountable to the people for what it does. There should be a free press, free speech in most countries a written bill of rights that priories the rights of the individual. The main aim, goal or objective of Liberal democracy as a system is that it tries to limit the power of the main branches of government over their individual.
