We are under the assumption that reality has been determined for us and we react to life on “auto-pilot.” When someone can begin to understand that our own thoughts is what creates our reality, then can they begin to consciously chose a different thought process, therefore creating a different reality. Alison Stormwolf, the writer of “Creating Your Own Reality & The Power of Thought” said, “Change your thoughts and you change your reality. And if I jump off my roof, will I hit the ground? Humans cannot control every aspect of the universe, but can we still control our individual reality? Michael Trooper expresses his belief that we cannot create our own reality in, “Why You Don't Create Your Own Reality- an antidote for to fatuous New Age paradigms” and makes his argument by saying, “I am the process of individualization; but I don't create it.” We may have the power to control the trivial aspects of our lives but in the grand scheme of things, we can't influence the universe for our own
