When running a daycare for children two-years-old and under, many considerations must be made in order to provide the appropriate experiences to help promote their biological, cognitive and psychosocial development. One of my primary goals would be to maintain a group of staff members that I have ensured are reliable, extremely trustworthy and planned on working for me for at least a year or two. I would want to help maintain a constant environment for the zero to two-year-olds. Children who are two-years-old need very different care then one-year-olds or kids who are even younger. Between one and two years of age there is a lot of spoken language changes, and a great deal of understanding and comprehension is gained by the child. I would speak with parents to ensue what the children are being taught at home is was enforced at daycare. It would be important to help the kids as they grew older to use to correct word for identifiable items in order to build upon and expand their current vocabularies. This could be done with either tangible items, for example a chair or pictures of items like airplanes. Another focus of mine would be for the kids to look at television, tablet and computer screens as little as possible. Not only is looking at screens bad for their eyes, it is important for them to interact with other kids their age. Playing the game I spy is very good for a child development, although it would be hard to hold their attention until around the age of three, I spy encourages identification of common items, use of long and short term memory, focusing their eye sight at different distances (very important for eye development) and communication
