Charles Darwin developed Darwinism. He focused more on the development of plants and animals. He developed the idea of natural selection. They feel the problems that society face such as poverty, poor health, violence, racism, and class warfare could be fixed by providing good education, a safer environment, a better workplace, and an honest government. I totally agree that society need those things for the community to be better. The Progressives wanted consumer rights and a clean government. The problems that the progressives were facing are still being faced today. There is child labor, temperance, education, and more. Factory workers only wanted cheap child workers.
