If racism never existed the world as we know it would be completely different. Hitler wouldn’t of tried taking over Europe, which ended up causing millions of people their lives. Family trees would be still growing instead of vanishing after people were put into concentration camps. The world wouldn’t have “Diary of Anne Frank” or any history books that have to due with the Holocaust.
If racism ceased to exist, Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have A Dream” speech wouldn’t of been necessary. The march he was apart of wouldn’t have taken place. Rosa Park’s wouldn’t have had to give up her seat if the segregation movement never took place. …show more content…
July 4th is one of the best days of the year. Americans take pride in what the United States stands for, which is freedom. Not everyone was able to feel the freedom when first coming to America though. Slaves arrived with each boat that came sailing from Europe. Just because America was built on the idea of freedom doesn’t mean everyone was able to experience that. Women weren’t allowed to vote, which is a basic human right. Even though America has a lot to be proud of and which we can take pride in. American also has had many inspirational people to be proud of, “That is the desire to which the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. appealed and he is somebody every American can be proud of” (Rorty 356). We as in the country has also made a lot of mistakes which, we can learn and grow
