When you first enter you will notice a small waiting area with different license plates from a range of dates and states. Lighting is dim, but over the table lighting seemed bright, and the music is loud. They also have large taxidermy trophies, and televisions with sports programs hanging on their walls. They have a bar that is in the center of the restaurant. It is very well stocked and the bartenders have all the patrons that I have seen smiling and enjoying their time spent at the establishment. The employees are always willing to help the customers. They even move tables around for the larger parties that come to enjoy the food. The smell can be compared to your first meal after eating a month of hotdogs and ramen noodles. When you consider the price and the friendly environment of the restaurant you would not expect much quality in the food. The quantity of the food depends on what you order. The customer can order either a half slab or full slab of ribs. A steak can be as small as a six ounce to a 23 ounce steak cooked to order. You can have your meat cooked from rare to well-done depending on your preference. I have only had to send my steak back once for being over cooked and dry. Management had the chefs recook my steak and gave my family a 25% discount on our bill. The quality of the children food was better than any fast food restaurant that I have experienced. With a family of five we can go to Texas Roadhouse and enjoy a quality meal for about the same price that we would spend at McDonalds. The service at the restaurant starts with a friendly hostess. The hostess takes your name and how many are in your party. The waitress then quickly calls your name and smiles and says “Hi welcome to Roadhouse.” Upon sitting at your table the waitress says her name and she will be serving you today as she gives you a basket filled with delicious rolls. I usually base my tip on how my waitress treats my family and the service we receive, or if I ever have to flag them down for a refill. I would rather sit down at a nice establishment to eat then sit
